Please follow this instruction to maintain your Walk In The Park works and feel free to get in touch when you need an advice. All finishes for wooden products will be eventually worn off with multiple-time uses no matter how strong or durable they are.  So, depending on how often you use the item, some items need regular treatments to make them continue to look their best and last longer.

INSTRUCTION

- CLEANING

Please use warm soapy water and clean with a dish brush to ensure there is no any remained food scraps between wood grains. After washing, wipe down water or drip dry in a well ventilated & shaded area. All wooden products are affected on humidity, so it is important to care drying rather than washing.

*Please never put your woodengoods in a dishwasher, this will significantly weaken the wood and can damage your product. There is no way to make a wooden goods dishwasher proof.

- STORING

Please avoid strong sunny areas, near a fire place or other heat appliances. These conditions make them sudden shrink in a short time and will possibly bring cracks on the surfaces.

*Ideal humidity for wooden item is 60%

-  APPLYING OIL

All our works are treated with natural ingredients; especially those items that might be contact with food are treated with pure Tung oil and beeswaxes. Although we used Pure Tung oil, which is the strongest natural finishing oil, wooden products will start losing its smooth texture and lustre after prolonged use. When you feel the surface of your wooden product less smooth than when you first began using it, please apply a thin layer of pure Tung oil and dry in well ventilated and shaded area for 1-2 weeks and start using again once the oil has been fully dried. (There shouldn’t be tackiness when dried) Pure flaxseed / linseed oil and walnut oil are also good natural finishing oils.

*Tip - With multiple-time washing with water, the fibre will be raised slightly. Please understand its natural phenomenon.  The fibres can be removed easily by giving the surface a very light rub with a fine sandpaper , 400-600 grit, and re-applying oil, this will bring back to the original texture and lustre.
